Du bist zwischen 18-26 Jahren alt, wohnst nicht in Deutschland, wolltest schon immer mal ins Ausland reisen, nette Leute kennen lernen und etwas Sinnvolles für einen guten Zweck tun? Herzlich willkommen beim Bauorden!

Was ist das genau?
Du kannst an unseren Workcamps in Deutschland teilnehmen, auch an mehreren hintereinander. Du lebst und arbeitest in internationalen Teams mit jungen Freiwilligen aus ganz Europa und hilfst Vereinen und Organisationen, die etwas bauen oder renovieren wollen: einen Naturspielplatz, ein Zentrum für ökologische Bildung, ein Asylhaus für Frauen in Not oder einen Hof, auf dem auch Kinder ohne viel Geld Ferien machen können.
Du wirst zusammen mit anderen Freiwilligen acht Stunden am Tag, fünf Tage pro Woche auf einer Baustelle arbeiten. Vielleicht wirst Du eine Holzhütte bauen. Oder eine Fassade streichen. Beton mischen. Oder eine Mauer bauen. Die Arbeiten können anstrengend sein. Du hast so was noch nie gemacht und weißt nicht, wie es geht? Du kannst trotzdem mitmachen! Hauptsache, Du hast keine Angst vor körperlicher Arbeit, bist motiviert und möchtest etwas Neues lernen. Wochenenden sind frei. Dann kannst Du gerne Städte und Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung entdecken oder einfach entspannen. Vielleicht schon mit Deinen neuen Freund:innen aus dem Workcamp.
Die Workcamps sind in verschiedenen, oft ländlichen Gebieten Deutschlands, frische Luft ist also garantiert. Du reist alle zwei Wochen in ein neues Projekt, meistens mit dem Zug. An welchen Workcamps Du teilnimmst, erfährst Du rechtzeitig im Voraus, noch bevor Du nach Deutschland kommst.
What exactly is that?
You can join our workcamps in Germany and also decide to volunteer in diffrent workcamps in a row. You will live and work in international teams with young volunteers from all over Europe and help associations and organisations that want to build or renovate something: a nature playground, a centre for ecological education, an asylum centre for women in need or a farm where children without much money can go on holiday.
Together with other volunteers, you will work eight hours a day, five days a week on a building site. Maybe you will build a wooden hut. Or painting a façade. Mixing concrete. Or build a wall. The work can be exhausting. You’ve never done anything like this before and don’t know how to do it? You can still join in! The main thing is that you are not afraid of physical labour, are motivated and want to learn something new. Weekends are free. Then you are welcome to discover cities and sights in the surrounding area or simply relax. Perhaps with your new friends from the work camp.
The workcamps are located in different, often rural areas of Germany, so fresh air is guaranteed. You travel to a new project every fortnight, usually by train. You will find out which workcamps you will be taking part in well in advance, before you arrive in Germany.
