Projekt: Bela Rechka (ca. 80 km nördlich von Sofia) ist ein kleines Dorf mit etwa 70, meist älteren, Einwohnern. Viele junge Leute sind in die Städte gezogen. Seit 2004 organisiert die Stiftung „Nova Kultura“ kulturelle Aktivitäten für und mit Bela Rechka, wodurch das Dorfleben wieder aufblüht. Ein ehemaliges Schulgebäude bildet das Zentrum der Arbeit und ist der Mittelpunkt des internationalen GOATMILK-Festivals, das mit Musik und Workshops jedes Jahr in Bela Rechka stattfindet. Nach erfolgreichen Baucamps in den letzten Jahren wird 2017 weiter im Außenbereich gearbeitet: Dabei soll unter anderem ein Kinderspielplatz im Wald gebaut werden. Hierfür wird vorwiegend Recyclingmaterial (Upcycling) verwendet. Außerdem wird das Kulturzentrum für das Festival renoviert und vorbereitet . Das Camp endet nach dem GOATMILK-Festival.

Project: Bela Rechka is a small village located 80 km north of Sofia. Many young people moved from Bela Rechka into cities, while old people stayed. Since 2004 the foundation “Nova Kultura” organizes cultural activities in Bela Rechka that brought life to the village again. Every year in May, the international GOATMILK Festival with music, art and work-shops takes place in Bela Rechka. The IBO volunteers have been helping for several years to renovate the former school building and transform it into a cultural center – the main venue of the festival. In 2017, several works on the outdoor area are to be continued: For example in the wood a playground for kids is planned. During this construction volunteers will be working with recycling material (upcycling). In addition, the cultural center itself is to be renovated and prepared for the festival. The camp will be finished with the festival.
