PROJECT: The „Momavali Centre for Youth and Civil Initiative“ was founded in 2003 in Kaspi, a town with 20,000 inhabitants about 50 km from the Georgian capital Tbilisi. One of the organisation’s main activities is working with disadvantaged children and young people. To this end, the centre regularly organises sports, educational and cultural events. In autumn 2015, the conversion of an empty building into a day care centre for children with disabilities began. The day care centre for about 20 children is already in operation, but the building needs to be modernised, converted for disabled access and new rooms need to be created. Since 2016, the volunteers of the Bauorden have been actively supporting the conversion. This year, several rooms are to be renovated.
WORK: Painting and varnishing work, carpentry work, concrete work, laying water pipes, landscaping, general renovation work.
